The inaugural Sydney Contemporary Fine Arts Collective Exhibition was held June 5-11 2025 at The Shop Gallery, 112 Glebe Point Road, Glebe NSW.

Sydney Contemporary Fine Arts Collective
The Sydney Contemporary Fine Arts Collective is a group of Studio Artists who live and produce work in Sydney, NSW Australia.
The group was founded between 2023 and 2025. As the culture and landscape of Sydney had drastically changed first with the Sydney lockout laws and development in East Sydney, the closure of many institutions and the drastic changes to curriculums delivered at Sydney College of Fine Arts (CoFA) and at the National Art School (NAS) had seen the end of many studios, ARIs and collectives.
I wanted to find out who was still producing Fine Art, and to bring those people together in an Exhibition which was a reformation of the Sydney arts scene - a celebration of our persistence and survival in the digital era - and a solid exhibition of contemporary Australian Art that is displayed without pretention, to be fully accessible to all people who like to view high quality art.
The group maintains the following values as a Collective:
To unite a strong community for Artists and those interested in Art;
For Art Works to be created, displayed and sold;
To Educate and Inspire.
In the realm of bringing living art into the lives of people, and maintaining a presence of traditional fine art techniques and concepts, within Sydney Australia.
