Clown Show: Loud and Proud Pepe Knocks Out the Hate
Pepe el Smitnik is a curious clown who loves to explore why humans do weird things called Fear and Hate.
Clowns ONLY know happiness and joy! In this slapstick comedy show, loveable Pepe is plagued by a bully.
But, Pepe turns the tables on the bully and proves that love is love and strength comes from within.
This show is written and performed by performance artist Emma Sputnik, and selected cohorts.
World Puppet Day Inner West Puppet Jam
Puppet lovers of Inner West Sydney!!
Friday 21st March 2025 is the UNIMA World Puppetry Day. To celebrate puppets, puppeteering and object work in Stagecraft, let's have a little puppet meetup and jam in Marrickville.
Bring a puppet if you have one, if you don't have a puppet come along anyway.
We will have a circle format "Short performance with my puppet" or "talk about my puppet and puppeteering" so everyone gets a go and to meet each other in the Puppet community.
All types of puppets welcome except "PIECE OF PLASTIC WITH A HOLE IN IT". Your puppet should have mouth/arms/legs or else it is an object not a puppet.
If you want to borrow a puppet send a message I will arrange one for you. Shy/awkward people welcome you can sit up the back and not participate if this is your level of comfort.
We will meet at the Marrickville Bowling Club back room from Midday onwards.
